The Voice of the Poor Committee, in the spirit of Christian love and justace, upholds Catholic values by researching, validating, documenting, advocating, and making public issues related to the condition of the poor. This is achieved by acting knowledgeably and credibly as a unified body speaking with one voice for the purpose of helping the poor. We are one with the poor because that is where we find Jesus.
Voice of the Poor Mission Statement
Believing in the dignity of every person, Voice of the Poor supports Catholic social teachings. Under the direction of the Diocesan Council, we will advocate for justice on behalf of those in need, while educating about economic and social issues which impact the poor.
